Magnetite, or in its unrefined state commonly known as Lodestone, is a very strong natural magnet and will never lose its power, unlike Hemitite that has to be artificially magnetized and will lose its power over time. My Magnetite comes from Brazil. When cut into the desired bead design and polished, it makes an excellent bead for jewelry. My designs are necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and new last year, magnetic belts for lower back pain.
